The AO Smith B748 Pool Pump Motor is a square flange style motor with a 56Y Frame and is a Full Rated 1.5 Horsepower motor. Square Flange motors have a square "face" where the motor mounts to the pump with 4 non-threaded bolt holes to attach the pump and a threaded shaft. Square Flange motors are most commonly used on Pentair Challenger, WhisperFlo, SuperFlo and Pinnacle pumps, Hayward TriStar and Max-Flo II pumps, most Jandy pump.
