No-load idle is 10.2 amps. I was using it as a motor for a 12-speed drill press (overkill, yes) but my shop's only a 15 amp circuit and the motor pulls up to 20, leading to a lot of tripped breaker frustration for me.
This also means it's not run more than 5m at a stretch under my ownership. Changed motors on the press - now's your chance to have a pool motor.
The impeller did not want to be removed with dignity so the shaft has been slightly remachined. While looking a little grotesque it is dimensionally a 5/8th inch keyed and has held hard torque loads just fine on a triple-chain of four-row pulleys. HP-SPL = max momentary horsepower at first startup.
